What we need
- Documents — the more contemporaneous and primary-source, the stronger the story.
- Context — how did you obtain the document, what does it mean, what should we look for next.
- Verification paths — other sources, public records, regulatory filings that corroborate.
Source protection
We will not name you, identify your employer, or share any detail that could compromise you with subjects of investigations, employers, lawyers, regulators, or law enforcement, unless legally compelled and only after exhausting every defense.
Sources are the only reason investigative journalism works. We treat them that way.
